Tried Behance vs ArtStation for a month each - clear winner for me
I spent January posting to Behance and February posting to ArtStation with basically the same portfolio pieces. Behance got me like 40 views total and no real feedback. ArtStation gave me 3 commission inquiries and one guy who actually commented on my lighting technique. The community there just feels more engaged with actual digital art instead of just scrolling past. Has anyone else found one platform way better than the other for getting noticed?

40 views in a month on Behance? I'm honestly shocked you got that many with no hashtag strategy or following. Been watching @mark_thomas and others talk up Behance's community, but your numbers make it sound like a ghost town compared to ArtStation's bite.

Honestly I gotta push back on this a bit. Behance has a way stronger community for illustration and graphic design stuff, and the project presentations are way cleaner for showing process work. Ngl I've gotten way more meaningful feedback on Behance than ArtStation which always felt like a portfolio graveyard to me where people just dump their work and leave. Tbh it probably depends a lot on what kind of art you're doing and who you're trying to reach.

Behance definitely wins for community vibes over ArtStation's gallery drop approach.
