Spent 3 hours adjusting tablet pressure curves because I watched one YouTube tutorial

I was watching this speedpaint video and the guy said you gotta tweak your pen pressure curve or your strokes will always look stiff. So I spent the next 3 hours messing with the sliders in Clip Studio trying to get that perfect feel. Turns out my default settings were fine and I just needed to practice more on feathering my lines. Has anyone else gone down that rabbit hole or was it just me?

UGH the pressure curve rabbit hole is REAL. I did the EXACT same thing with my Huion tablet last month. Wasted an entire evening tweaking it and my lines looked WORSE than before.

Literally same with my XP Pen last week. I spent like 3 hours watching youtube tutorials and adjusting every tiny setting just to end up right back at the default. It felt like I was drawing with a wet noodle on the heavy press setting. So frustrating.

Default settings were fine"?? Man I could not DISAGREE more lol. My lines were jittery garbage out of the box and it took me HOURS of curve tweaking to get smooth strokes. Sometimes the defaults just don't work for how YOU draw.
