Pro tip: stop exporting digital paintings at 72 DPI for print showcases
I saw three people in a portfolio review last week submit pieces at 72 DPI when they clearly wanted to print them for a gallery wall, and the judge just shook his head. Has anyone else noticed new artists messing up their resolution settings before sharing their work here?

My buddy Dave once brought a 72 DPI print to a gallery submission and the curator thought it was a proof copy he forgot to trash. He was so embarrassed he switched to digital only after that. Have you seen this ruin anyone’s chances in a review?

Did Dave not check the submission guidelines before he showed up, or did the gallery just not list DPI requirements anywhere obvious?
