My brush texture kept looking muddy in every piece I uploaded

Spent 3 days trying to figure out why my digital paintings looked flat and blurry. Turns out I was using a default Procreate brush at 100% opacity the whole time. Switched to a textured grain brush at 80% opacity and suddenly my work popped. Anyone else spend forever on a stupid setting fix?

Wait, did you accidentally have your pressure curve inverted because that happened to me once and it was a nightmare to fix.

First time that happened to me I honestly thought the machine was busted. I was ready to send it back for a replacement before a buddy online told me to double check the software settings. Turns out I had clicked the wrong button during setup and inverted the whole thing without realizing it. Once I flipped it back everything worked fine but man it is a frustrating thing to troubleshoot. Your mileage may vary but I would definitely check that before you dive deeper into hardware fixes.

Wow I totally thought it was the hardware too until I saw this.
