@black.pat that blocking in big shapes first thing is exactly what got me too. I used to think that was just being lazy or skipping steps but now I see it's the smarter way to build anything.

Wait, he just blocks in big shapes with zero detail and fixes it later? @black.pat that is some risky way to start and I can't believe it actually works.

Honestly, "changed my whole process" is something I hear a lot but yours actually sounds real. I used to think I had to get every single detail perfect before moving on, like I was building a brick wall one brick at a time. Then I talked to this old painter who said he just blocks in big shapes first, no fuss, and fixes it later. It blew my mind because I was so scared of messing up that I never got anywhere. Now I just throw down rough stuff and fix it as I go, and my work is way looser and better for it.
