Can we talk about the week I had 5 pieces rejected from a local gallery show in Austin?
I spent 40 hours on a surrealist landscape of a giant armadillo wrecking a taco truck and the curator said it was 'too on the nose' for their Texas theme, has anyone else gotten completely off-the-wall feedback from a judge?

Makes me think about how people keep trying to fit square pegs into round holes everywhere, not just in Austin. Like you see it at work all the time where someone wants to copy a system that worked somewhere else but it crashes and burns because nobody bothered to look at what actually made it work in the first place.
