Why does nobody talk about oil sampling being a scam in small fleets
Honestly, I ran samples every 3k miles on 6 trucks for a year and spent about $900. The lab flagged two engines with high copper, but both ran another 80k miles without a hiccup. Is anyone else skipping this step on older rigs and just sticking to a strict filter schedule?

Why not test the oil from your parts washer instead, way cheaper and same info?
