The foreman who fixed my injector mistake with a single question
Back in 2019 I was working at a fleet yard outside of Reno, and I botched a rebuild on a Cummins ISX, left a plunger in backwards and it rattled like crazy. This old timer named Gil came over, didn't yell or anything, just asked "what did you see when you pulled that cage apart?" and that clicked for me. I realized I'd been rushing to get parts back in instead of paying attention to how they sat before. Has anyone else had a quiet but sharp comment from a lead that fixed a bad habit for good?
