Switched from impact guns to torque wrenches for head bolts after a rough job

I used to just crank head bolts down with my IR impact like everyone else on the crew... figured if it felt tight it was good enough. Then last month I had a 6.7 Powerstroke come back with a blown head gasket after 200 miles. Tore it down and found two bolts way under spec. Now I break out the torque wrench for every head bolt job, even if it adds 15 minutes. Has anyone else had a comeback that made you change how you do something simple?

Wait, you were using an impact on head bolts?! That hurts to read...
