Paid $300 for a fancy oil analysis kit, turned out my cheap harbor freight pump works better

Spent that cash on a lab-grade test kit last month and the results were way less useful than just using my $20 extraction pump and checking the oil myself. Anyone else find the expensive tools aren't always worth it?

Did the lab results actually tell you anything useful you couldn't see yourself?

Did the lab work just reinforce what your doctor already suspected from looking at you? Sometimes a simple blood sugar or iron test is all it takes to make people take you seriously.

Oh gosh, did you feel like it was just confirming what you already knew? That's so frustrating when you go through all that waiting and it doesn't really give you anything new to work with. Sorry you had to deal with that.
