Just realized my injector cups were leaking because of a tip from a guy at the truck pull in Boone
He told me to pressure test the cooling system warm instead of cold and sure enough I found the seep in 10 minutes. Anyone else have a trick that sounds backwards but actually works?
The "pressure test warm instead of cold" tip is a good one, heat opens up the cracks so stuff shows itself. My backwards trick is checking for a bad head gasket with a cold engine and a glove over the radiator neck, if it inflates while cranking you got problems. Sounds dumb as hell but it saved me from pulling a motor once. Meanwhile I've spent three weekends chasing a leak that turned out to be a loose hose clamp, so clearly I'm real smart.
