Am I the only one who sees guys skip the torque sequence on a head gasket?

I watched a shop in Boise just crank down the center bolts first on a 6.7 Powerstroke, which is a sure way to warp the head. They said it 'saved ten minutes' but that motor came back with a leak after two weeks. How do you make sure new helpers get this right every single time?

Can you even trust a shop that cuts that corner?

Remember this little diner near my old place that used the cheapest napkins, the kind that fall apart if you look at them wrong. Honestly, if they cut corners on something that simple, it made me wonder what the kitchen was like. Tbh I stopped going after I saw a cook out back smoking right by the open door. It just feels like one cheap choice leads to another.

Oh totally! That's such a good point. I had the same thing happen at a burger place by my work. They used those super thin, waxy straws that would collapse if you sipped too hard. Then I noticed the ketchup bottles were always crusty and the tables felt sticky. It's like you said, once you see one red flag, you start noticing them everywhere. Makes you lose all trust in the place.
