My property manager called 16th Street Mall 'dead forever' last August
He was wrong - I just signed a lease on a ground floor space there last week for 30% under asking. Has anyone else seen foot traffic actually picking back up downtown?

12th and Market is where I parked last week and I counted 40 people walking by in ten minutes during lunch. That property manager probably calls everything dead that doesn't have a line of tourists waiting to buy overpriced pretzels. 30 percent under asking is a screaming deal though, sounds like the mall is dead for people who refuse to negotiate but alive for anyone with a pulse and a brain. Bet that guy's still emailing his same "forever" prediction while you're setting up shop.

Downtown's been weird like that my buddy runs a lunch spot on 14th and says the crowd comes in waves now instead of steady like before. Property managers who write off entire streets usually just don't wanna work the phones.
