Appreciation post: the day my RiNo loft lease finally signed
After 14 months of chasing a tenant who kept ghosting me on the RiNo unit, they wired the $4,800 deposit last Tuesday and actually moved in on Friday. It was the first time since March that my Denver CRE spreadsheet showed green for two straight weeks, and I honestly forgot what that felt like. Anyone else have a deal that took way longer than it should have, only to close right before you gave up?

14 months of chasing a tenant that ghosted you is basically a part-time job nobody asked for. I’d have framed the wire confirmation email and hung it on the wall like a trophy. Congrats on finally seeing green, though. Maybe now your spreadsheet can start paying you back for all the therapy it cost. Every landlord I know has that one deal that made them question their whole career choice. The universe really likes to wait until you’re one rejection away from quitting before it hands you the win.
