A guy at Def Con in Vegas told me to check my router firmware every month, and I finally did it after 8 months
Found 3 unpatched issues on my home router since I set it up in January, so now I'm wondering how often everyone else actually checks theirs and what tool you use to keep track.

My cousin works in IT and he said most home routers have bugs right out of the box that never get fixed unless you manually update. He checks his every couple weeks, which sounds like a lot but he said the updates take like 5 minutes.
