Why does nobody talk about turning off Bluetooth when you're not using it?

I saw a report from a security firm in Chicago that showed how many attacks start with an open Bluetooth connection. Has anyone else made this a habit?

Actually, most phones do that automatically now.

But what about the older models, or cheaper phones? My buddy's budget phone from two years ago still needs manual updates for everything. Does "most" mean like 90% of new flagships, or are we talking all phones sold in the last five years?

My sister's old Galaxy A10 from 2019 still needs her to check for updates every few months. Honestly, it feels like the cheaper the phone, the more you have to babysit it.
