The day my 2FA app saved me from a dumb mistake
Last Tuesday I nearly clicked a link in a text that looked like it came from my bank, but my authentication app kept buzzing with a code request I never asked for. That extra step made me stop and check the sender, turns out the number was spoofed and I was seconds away from handing over my login. Has anyone else had their 2FA catch something like that, or am I just paranoid now?

My sister had almost the same thing happen with a package delivery scam last month. The fake tracking link would have downloaded something nasty, but her phone kept asking for a verification code she never requested. It's funny how we think of 2FA as just another annoying step, but it really is the gatekeeper for all the times we're running on autopilot. I see it with my dad too, he almost paid a fake utility bill last week because he was in a hurry. The extra pause, that little moment of being forced to think, is what saves us. Half the scams out there work because they catch us when we're tired, distracted, or just not looking close enough.
