Someone told me my passwords were dumb and they were right
I used to use the same password for like 10 years across everything. A buddy in IT showed me how fast a bot can crack a simple 8-character one, so I switched to a password manager and 16-character random strings. Has anyone else had a rude awakening about their password habits?

Yeah ive had that exact same wakeup call. Switched to a password manager after my bank got hacked and i realized i was using "password123" everywhere.

Oh absolutely, I was the same way. Used the same password for everything for years, thought I was being clever by switching one number. Getting shown what a basic cracking tool can do was humbling to say the least.
