Password manager vs notebook, my 2019 decision still holds up

Back in 2019 I had to pick between using a password manager or keeping my logins in a paper notebook hidden in my desk. I figured the notebook was unhackable since it never touched a screen, so I went analog for about six months. Then my cat knocked over a mug of tea right on page 14 and I lost half my banking logins, smeared beyond reading. I switched to Bitwarden that same week and exported everything from memory and old emails. Took me a full Saturday to rebuild, but the recovery codes and encrypted vault have saved me twice since, once when my laptop got stolen at a coffee shop in Portland. The notebook felt safer until it was gone, but now I keep it as backup with only a few low-risk accounts listed. Has anyone else made the switch from paper to digital after a close call?
