Legacy VPN box from 2012 still beat my new setup

Dug out an old Cisco VPN router from a closet last week. My 2024 zero-trust mesh kept dropping connections during a client call in Austin. Swapped it in as a test, old box held the tunnel for 6 hours straight. Turns out the new software had a DNS leak issue, not the hardware. Lesson: check the config before blaming the gear. Anyone else keep a dinosaur around for emergencies?
