Had to choose between a password manager and writing them all down on paper

Went with the password manager after a sticky note fell out of my pocket at a coffee shop in Denver, and now I'm wondering how many people actually still keep a notebook with their logins under their keyboard?

Have you ever lost your phone and realized you are totally locked out of everything?

And then I realized my backup codes were in my email which I couldn't access without the phone, total nightmare.
