Dropped $200 on a YubiKey bundle after getting phished twice in one month

I figured the hardware keys would be overkill but after losing access to my email for 3 days straight and missing a client deadline, that $200 feels like the cheapest insurance I've ever bought, anyone else here use physical security keys or just stick with authenticator apps?

Damn, that's rough. Losing email for three days would drive me insane, especially with a client deadline hanging over your head. I've never tried those YubiKey things myself, but I get why you'd go all in after that kind of scare. I've been using authenticator apps for years and they've been fine for me, but I've also never been phished that hard. Still, hearing your story makes me wonder if I'm being too casual about my own setup. Solid move on your part though, sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and lock things down tight.

Yeah @blake322 I used to think authenticator apps were enough too but after hearing this I'm rethinking everything.
