Can we talk about password managers? Everyone I know uses the same one.
My cousin works in IT security. He told me a year ago to stop using the browser password saver. Said it's too easy to steal. I ignored him for 6 months. Then my work email got hacked. Someone got into my Slack and Google Drive. Found out later it was from a browser extension stealing saved passwords. Lost a week fixing everything. Now I use Bitwarden. It's free and way safer. Has anyone else had a close call with browser passwords?

Keep an eye on what your password manager Auto-fills too. Had a friend who clicked a fake login page for their bank, and Bitwarden filled in the real credentials because the domain looked close enough. That's when I learned about checking the URL BEFORE letting the manager do its thing. Now I always glance at the address bar even when my vault says it's legit.

Does Bitwarden have a feature that warns you when the domain looks slightly different to what you saved? I've seen some managers do that and it seems like a lifesaver for those fake login pages.

Hate that this happened to you, sounds like a total nightmare to sort out. I had a similar scare with a fake login page that nearly got my bank details, definitely makes you rethink everything. Bitwarden is a solid choice though, I switched to it after that and haven't looked back.
