Used to swear by certified tools but yeah that changed real quick after that.

So @tyler_wilson is right, but has anyone checked if the "certified" label was from an actual accredited lab or just some random company that printed stickers? I wasted $300 on a torque wrench that had a "certified" sticker on it and it was off by 15% when I tested it against a borrowed one from a buddy who works at a machine shop. Turns out the lab they used didn't even have proper equipment to calibrate that type of tool.
