Tried a new way to rig a tricky lift versus my old method

Last week on a site in Portland, we had to set a big AC unit on a tight roof. My usual way was a straight lift with a single sling, but the foreman suggested a two-point basket hitch instead. It was way more stable and let us swing it into place without any wobble. I mean, I won't lie, I was a bit nervous to change it up, but it worked perfectly. Anyone else switch up their rigging for a roof lift and have it pay off?

Read a rigging book that said a basket hitch spreads the load better... makes sense now.

Switched to a two-leg bridle for a long panel last month and it made all the difference. What was the hardest part of your old single-sling method?

Ever feel like your old rigging method was just a stubborn habit you were too lazy to break?
