That old ironworker in Houston said I was running my luffing jib too fast
He told me to slow down and let the load settle before swinging, and after I bent a turnbuckle trying to rush a lift last Tuesday I finally saw he was right all along - has anyone else had a seasoned hand call them out on something that seemed minor but saved a job?

Bent a turnbuckle myself last month trying to rush a load. Guess I'm a slow learner too.

That old timer nailed it, same thing happened to me with a crane mentor last fall.
