Switched to a tag line system on my lattice boom last month
I used to spend 20 minutes every morning re-reeving the pendant lines by hand. Got tired of it after dropping a load near the rail yard in Bakersfield. Bought a 3/4 inch tag line setup from a guy I met at the union hall. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a difference in setup time?

Twenty minutes re-reeving pendant lines by hand sounds like a good way to lose your mind before breakfast. Dropping a load near Bakersfield is the kind of wake-up call that makes you reevaluate your whole morning routine. That union hall guy probably saved you more than just time, though I bet he charged you extra for the story. Three-quarter inch tag line is a smart move for a lattice boom, you're not fighting the wind as much either. I made the switch last year and now I just stand there sipping coffee while my ground guy hooks it up. Makes me wonder why I bothered with the old method for so long.
