Learned the hard way that leveling a boom truck on a sloped jobsite takes longer than you think
Spent 45 minutes trying to get the outriggers set on a 5 degree grade near the river last Thursday. Anybody got a trick for reading the ground faster before you start?

Read a forum post about using line levels to get a head start on leveling.

Ross.felix I gotta admit I used to think line levels were a total waste of time (like why bother, right?) but after seeing your post and reading that thread I'm actually convinced to give it a try on my next character.

Has anyone else spent way too much time staring at stat spreads, only to realize they could've just grabbed a line level and saved the headache? I was in the same boat, thought they were for people who couldn't do the math themselves. But honestly, I tried one on a lazy Sunday and it saved me like three hours of spreadsheet nonsense, so I'm eating my words now.
