Hit my 500th lift last Thursday and almost dropped a load over the river
Been running this Liebherr LTM 1050 for about 4 years now, and checked my log out of curiosity. That 500th pick was a 12 ton HVAC unit going onto a roof in downtown Nashville, nothing special. Has anyone else looked back at their number of lifts and gotten spooked by how many close calls they've walked away from?

Hitting 500 lifts is quite a milestone, and I get why you'd look back and think about the close calls. But honestly? I think that number says more about your skill than luck. You've clearly got a solid routine and good judgement to make it that far without something going wrong. Your buddy's accident was probably due to a different set of circumstances, not a sign that every operator's luck runs out. You deserve to feel proud of that 500, not spooked by it.
