Appreciation post: watching them weld a 300 ft boom back together at the yard in Tulsa gave me a new respect for the old guys
Stopped by the equipment yard last Tuesday and watched a 60 year old welder patch a cracked lattice section by hand, no jig, just eyeballing it. Made me wonder how many of these old machines are still running on work nobody teaches anymore, anyone else seen a repair like that lately?

Guess eyeballing it works fine til it doesn't, then you're the guy picking lattice out of your truck.
