After a shaky lift yesterday, I'm over operators who skip pre-op checks

Skipping pre-operation checks is just asking for trouble on site.

That crane story your buddy saw is exactly why this stuff matters. I watched a telehandler tip over a pallet of glass panels last month cause the guy didn't check his load chart. Makes my blood boil, it's so preventable.

Question if we're making too big a deal out of this. In my experience, most times things go fine even when checks are rushed. Sure, safety is key, but let's be real, accidents are pretty rare. Your mileage may vary, but I've seen plenty of sites where no one follows every rule and nothing bad happens. Take that with a grain of salt, though.
