Was skeptical about using purple shampoo on dry hair, but it actually worked
I always used purple shampoo on wet hair like the bottle says. But last week I had a client with serious brass, so I tried applying it dry and letting it sit for 15 minutes. The brass was totally gone after one wash. Kinda feel like an idiot for not trying this sooner. Anyone else do this or have a different method for stubborn brass?

Yeah that's exactly what I've been doing for years now. I just section the hair, apply the purple shampoo dry right on the brassy spots, let it sit for like 10 to 15 minutes depending how bad it is, then hop in the shower and rinse it out with warm water. The trick is using less than you think you need and really focusing on the orange parts because it can get messy if you let it sit too long on lighter hair. Super easy way to save money on toning treatments too.
