The week a client brought her parrot to the salon for a matching feather trim

Last Tuesday in Tampa, a regular showed up with her green cheek conure perched on her shoulder and seriously asked if I could 'soften the ends' of his tail feathers to match her new balayage. I spent 45 minutes trying to explain avian anatomy while the bird kept trying to nibble my shears. Has anyone else had a pet become an unexpected part of a service?

I used to think that was crazy, but now...

Ever feel like you're just stuck in that old way of thinking? I was there with meal prepping, thought it was for robots. Then I tried just making a double batch of dinner on Tuesday. Ate half, boxed the rest. Suddenly had lunch for Wednesday. No extra time spent. Started doing it with chili, pasta, everything. Changed the whole week.

Yeah, "I used to think that was crazy" is my whole life story. I fought meal prepping for years, calling it sad and boring. Now my freezer is full of labeled containers and I feel like a fool.
