Panic-bought a $200 blow dryer after one bad appointment and I regret it
Last month my regular stylist in Phoenix double-booked me and rushed my balayage so bad I went straight to a supply store and grabbed that fancy ionic dryer, but now I'm back to my $40 one from Target because the expensive thing just takes longer on my thick hair, has anyone else had a store-bought tool totally fail them after a bad salon visit?

Ugh, I feel this in my soul! I did the exact same thing after a stylist fried my hair with a straightener, went out and bought some $250 curling wand that I used maybe twice. Turns out my cheap one from CVS gives me the same beachy waves, just takes a few extra minutes. Store-bought panic buys are basically just paying for the anger you feel at the salon, not for better hair. Honestly, the only thing that actually helped was going back to my old routine and finding a new stylist who doesn't treat my head like a drive-thru.
