My mentor in beauty school said to always mix color with a plastic bowl, not metal.

I finally tried a metal bowl last week for a vivid red, and it oxidized the formula in under 5 minutes. Has anyone else had a color react badly to a specific mixing tool?

That's why they tell you not to use metal, it really does matter.

Yep, learned that the hard way with a blue toner. Metal bowls just wreck some formulas.
