My cordless clipper battery died mid-fade on a Saturday morning client

I had to finish the last quarter of his haircut with my old, corded backup clippers from 2018, which felt super awkward and clunky, but honestly, has anyone else had a tool fail at the worst possible moment and what's your go-to backup plan?

My buddy Jake was detailing a black Mercedes last summer when his polisher just quit. The motor locked up with this awful grinding sound halfway through the hood. He had to finish the whole car by hand with a microfiber pad, took him like three extra hours. His arms were dead for two days after that. Now he keeps his old rotary buffer in the truck, just in case.
