My color mixer totally gave out on a full head of foils yesterday

I was halfway through a full highlight in the middle of a Saturday rush when my mixer just stopped spinning. Motor started smoking and everything. I had to hand mix three bowls of color with a spatula while my client sat there watching me panic. Anyone else had a tool break at the absolute worst time?

Hand mixing with a spatula during a Saturday rush is a special kind of HELL I wouldn't wish on anyone. Your arm probably got a better workout than mine fixing a busted compressor on a roof in July.

My buddy worked in a bakery for like two years and he said the same thing. He told me about one Saturday when they ran out of mixer dough and he had to hand stir a giant batch of frosting for like 45 minutes straight. Said his arm was shaking so bad by the end he could barely hold a coffee cup. He compared it to doing a thousand reps at the gym but with no break and the boss yelling at you to hurry up. I'll take my desk job any day after hearing that story.
