Just realized that a communication workshop upped my booking game

I always skipped those soft skills classes, thinking they were fluff. But after a session on handling tricky customer chats, I tried the tips and filled my book for two weeks straight. The instructor gave us easy ways to listen and suggest add-ons without pushing. Now I see that learning to talk better is as important as the cut itself.

Tell me about it. People roll their eyes until they actually try listening instead of just waiting to talk. That's the whole trick.

@robinson.wren, real conversation needs both sides to engage.

Yeah, I was totally in the "win the argument" camp for the longest time... like my goal was just to prove my point. What @robinson.wren said about listening instead of waiting to talk... it clicked after a stupid fight with my sister about politics. I was just stacking my next point while she spoke, and we got nowhere. Actually hearing her worry, not just her opinion, changed the whole talk. It wasn't about agreeing, but the fight just... stopped.
