Hydration spray on dry hair changed my mind about a product I thought was just a scam

I always thought those little hydration mists were just fancy water in a bottle, but a client last Tuesday came in with a bottle of the stuff and asked me to use it before her blowout. After I saw how it smoothed down her flyaways and kept her ends from frizzing up in the humidity, I bought my own that same day. Anybody else been converted by a product you were sure was useless?

The trick is timing. I started using a tiny bit of hydration spray right after towel drying but before any product, and it made my regular leave-in spread way more even. It's actually a decent shortcut for when you're too lazy to do a full deep condition but still want that slip (game changer for detangling, seriously).

Oh man, that's actually smart because it's basically using the water to reactivate the product you already have instead of piling on more. Most people just add layer after layer when the real issue is they didn't prep the hair right. Have you tried this with a plain water mister or does it need something in it to really work?

@riverreed is right... why do we always assume the simple stuff is a scam first?
