Hot take: I don't think new clippers need the blade zero-gapped, and I ran 3 clients this way
Every newer stylist I've trained at my chair in Sacramento keeps telling me I'm going to snag hair if I don't zero-gap every new clipper straight out of the box. I ran 3 back to back fades with a stock blade right out of the package and not one client noticed a single pull, because the factory gap already sits close enough for 95% of cuts. So who actually taught us this rule, and does anyone have a real client complaint that proves it matters?
