Heard a client in Dallas say her last stylist never did a patch test before color

That's a huge liability risk and could cause a serious reaction. How do you guys make sure you never skip that step when you're busy?

My old barber shop in Austin had a sign taped to every mirror that just said "PATCH TEST FIRST" in red marker. It was a physical reminder you had to look at while the client was in your chair. I've noticed a lot of safety steps get skipped when they're just a line in a manual, but something you see every single time creates a habit.

Ever notice how the only patch test I remember is the one I failed with that at-home hair dye? My bathroom mirror should've had a warning but all it said was "you sure about this?" lol
