A perm processing mishap in a tiny Tulsa salon booth
I was about 15 minutes into a perm service when I realized the solution had been mixed way too strong, and the client's hair felt like straw. I immediately stopped, rinsed for a solid 10 minutes with a neutralizing shampoo, and applied a deep conditioner. Has anyone else had to salvage a chemical service that went south that fast?

Ten minutes into a perm and the hair already felt like straw? That solution must have been pure acid. Good call on the immediate rinse, but man, that's a scary fast turn. I've seen some fried hair, but that's a whole new level of processing disaster.

My cousin got a perm last year that started smoking after seven minutes, no joke. The stylist had to dump a whole pitcher of water on her head. Some of these solutions are way too strong.

Honestly sounds a bit over the top. Lunakim's story is wild too, but hair turning to straw that fast? Maybe the texture was already super damaged before they even started.
