I mean, it's like how 'natural' skincare can wreck your skin too. Sometimes the lab-made versions are just more consistent and less likely to cause a reaction.

Totally get what you mean about lab-made versions being more consistent. I once tried this "all natural" face oil with lavender, sounded harmless right? Broke out in a rash that took weeks to calm down. Turns out my skin hates some plant extracts even if they're natural. Makes you wonder how they decide what "natural" even means anymore. Now I stick to simple stuff with fewer ingredients, lab made or not.

Switched to a basic glycerin and hyaluronic acid serum after a similar disaster, my skin can't handle random plant oils either. Lab-made just means they leave out the weird stuff my face decides to hate, lol. I look for stuff with under ten ingredients now, it's way easier to spot troublemakers.
