Was totally skeptical about Patreon until a podcaster I like showed their income breakdown

Saw a creator I follow post their whole Patreon earnings for 2023 and it was over $4k a month just from 300 fans... that kind of direct support feels way more stable than hoping ads pay off. Has anyone here made the switch from ad revenue to subscriptions and actually seen it work out?

That thing about feeling more stable than ads really hit home for me. I switched my art channel over to subscriptions last year and it was a game changer, but you have to be consistent. I started by offering early access to videos and a monthly digital print for $5 a month, and after six months I had 120 patrons pulling in around $600 a month. It felt way less stressful than constantly checking ad stats. What kind of rewards did you think about offering?

My buddy runs a dirt bike channel and pulls $800 a month from like 50 Patreon supporters.
