Used to edit everything in Premier Pro but now I'm all in on DaVinci Resolve

I switched about 8 months ago after I got hit with that $50 monthly bill from Adobe one too many times. Man, the learning curve was brutal at first because I was so used to the timeline in Premier and the way it handles transitions. But now that I've got the hang of the color grading tools in DaVinci, I can't imagine going back. My videos just look way more polished without needing a bunch of LUTs or plugins. The free version seriously gives you 90% of what you need for basic YouTube stuff. Has anyone else made the jump and regretted it or was it worth the headache for you too?

The color grading is what sold me too. I spent years stacking plugins in Premiere just to get skin tones looking natural. Now I do it with one node and it looks better. The free version is honestly insane value for what you get. My only complaint is the text tools are clunky compared to Premiere, but I just do titles in Canva now.

Honestly @rileynelson I used to hate on DaVinci but this actually changed my mind about it.

The text tools in DaVinci are absolute garbage, no argument there. I remember trying to make a simple title card for a short film and it took me like 45 minutes of fighting with the software. Canva is a smart workaround, I might steal that idea. Speaking of color grading, I once spent an entire weekend trying to match shots from two different cameras in Premiere and ended up just giving up and using a LUT that made everything look orange and teal. DaVinci's color matching tool is magic compared to that mess. The free version being that good is almost suspicious, like they're trying to get you hooked so you buy the full suite later.
