That random comment from a viewer about my audio levels saved my entire channel

A subscriber named Dave told me my voice was too quiet compared to the music back in January and I ignored him for 3 months until I finally checked my mixer settings and realized I had the gain turned down 40%, has anyone else had a random viewer fix a problem you didn't know you had?

Don't beat yourself up over those early episodes, we all have blind spots when it comes to our own stuff. The real trick is learning to actually listen when someone points out a fix instead of getting defensive about it. Good on you for finally checking the mixer, that little knob probably cost you a ton of potential viewers.

and honestly it took me way longer to admit that random internet stranger was right. i spent three months convincing myself the audio was fine and everyone else just had bad headphones or something. turns out i was the one with the problem and it was just a little knob i had bumped without noticing. now i watch the mixer levels like a hawk and still cringe thinking about all those early episodes nobody could hear properly.
