Spent 6 hours trying to fix a simple audio sync issue in my video editor

I recorded a 15 minute review video last night and the audio was a full second off from the start. Tried every setting in DaVinci Resolve for hours before realizing I had a sample rate mismatch from my USB mic. Has anyone else wasted a whole day on something that dumb?

48k is actually the standard for professional video so the problem is really your setup not the number.

I saw a youtube video the other day where a guy spent two days on the same issue before he realized his mic was set to 48k and his project was at 44.1k. It's wild how one little number can mess up everything. I've definitely been there with different software where I chase a setting for hours only to find it was something stupid like a driver update that glitched out.
