Shoutout to the lady at the coffee shop who fixed my lighting setup

I was filming a quick review video at my local coffee shop downtown last Saturday, balancing my phone on a stack of napkins, when this older woman came over and asked if I needed a hand. She pulls out a compact ring light from her bag and says, "Here, try this. Your angles are all off." I spent 10 minutes adjusting it, and the footage actually looked decent for once. She was a retired photographer who taught me about bouncing light off white surfaces instead of direct harsh light. Now I carry a mini diffuser in my bag everywhere, and it's saved me on at least 3 different shoots. Has anyone else gotten random help from a stranger that changed their gear game completely?

Crazy how a little bit of kindness can just totally flip your whole day around. Had a dude let me cut in line at the gas station last week cause my kid was losing it in the back seat, didn't even ask for anything in return. That stuff sticks with you, makes you wanna pay it forward. We need more of that, for real.
