Rant: I made one TikTok about my grandma's dumpling recipe and now 40 people in Dayton are mad at me
So last Tuesday I posted a 45 second video of my grandma showing how she folds dumplings, and it somehow hit 200k views by Thursday. The problem is I cut the part where she said you have to let the dough rest 20 minutes, because I thought it was boring. Now my comments are full of people saying their dumplings turned into glue and blaming me personally, and one lady in Dayton made a whole 6 minute response video calling me a fraud. I tried to post a follow up with the rest of the recipe but TikTok kept flagging it for some reason, so I just pinned a comment that said sorry. My grandma thinks the whole thing is hilarious and keeps asking me how many views the glue video got. Has anyone else had a video blow up and then get roasted for something you cut out of it?
