Oh man, totally. I used to just grab whatever frame from the video and call it a day. Then I spent like 15 minutes actually tweaking one thumbnail and my click rate literally doubled. It's such a small thing that makes a huge difference.

Oh wait, seriously? That's actually wild to me. I mean, I always figured thumbnails were like the cover of a book, but I never thought people would spend hours on a video and then just slap on a random screenshot. Maybe it's just me but that seems like leaving money on the table.

Oh wow, I totally used to be the person who just grabbed a random frame too. Seeing @murphy.blair say their click rate doubled really opened my eyes, that's such a simple fix for a huge payoff. Definitely going to start spending more than 30 seconds on my thumbnails now.
